FGEN LNG Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of First Gen Corp., said it appointed Jacobs Projects (Philippines) Inc., an international technical services firm, to deliver engineering services to the interim offshore terminal project in the First Gen Clean Energy Complex in Batangas City.

Jacobs said in a statement the project involves the modification of an existing liquid fuel jetty to accommodate a floating storage regasification unit and liquefied natural gas carriers for the receipt, storage, and delivery of a safe, reliable and competitive supply of LNG to the Philippines.

The scope includes modifications to the jetty head, berthing and mooring facilities; a trestle bridge with high-pressure gas pipeline and utilities; and a jetty monitoring building and control room.

Jacobs, a part of the New York Stock Exchange listed Jacobs Engineering Group, will undertake design review, project management, and supervision of the construction of the project as owner’s engineer.
