MPower Inc., the local retail electricity supplier of Manila Electric Co., and Pioneer Highlands South Condominium Corp. (PHSCC) renewed their retail supply agreement, marking the continued collaboration between the two entities.
PHSCC manages Pioneer Highlands South Condominium in Mandaluyong City, which houses around 445 residential and commercial occupants.
It was one of the first batches of customers that signed up with MPower under the Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA) implemented in 2013.
“We have a very strong partnership with PHSCC for more than a decade now and remain committed to being part of their growth and success. We assure PHSCC and our partners that MPower will continue to deliver stable, reliable and cost-competitive supply that we believe is very crucial in ensuring continued operations of the business and in keeping the lights on,” Meralco first vice president and MPower head Redel Domingo said in a statement Thursday.
MPower and PHSCC’s retail supply contract renewal signifies a strong and lasting partnership built on trust, commitment and shared values, the companies said.
“Our partnership with MPower has gone deeper than our continuing business contracts. This does not only forge a decade’s worth of continued energy supply and professional assistance but is also a celebration of warm friendship and continued pursuit of lofty ideals to serve and be fruitful citizens,” PHSCC president Evangeline Ang said.
MPower serves contestable customers, including top corporations within Meralco’s franchise area. It established itself as a preferred LRES, enjoying more than 25 percent share of the competitive retail electricity market within Meralco’s franchise area.
It is actively increasing its renewable energy capacity in its supply portfolio as part of its commitment to sustainability and as a response to the growing clamor of customers for renewable energy.
