MPower, the retail electricity arm of Manila Electric Co. (Meralco), said it has entered into a new supply contract with Mega Land Prime Estate Corp. to energize its MegaOne Building in Quezon City.

MPower said in its statement yesterday it has also renewed its supply contract with Megasoft Hygienic Products Inc., one of the country’s leading manufacturers of sanitary and hygienic products, to power its facility in Caloocan City. Mega Land is an affiliate of Megasoft.

The parties did not detail the amount of electricity involved in the deal but mentioned that they first partnered back in 2023.

“We value reliability and excellent service, which is why we chose MPower. Their dependable energy solutions ensure uninterrupted operations, while their exceptional customer support helps us manage our energy needs efficiently,” said Emilio Go, Megasoft president and chief executive officer. “With MPower, we can focus on innovation and growth with confidence.”

Meanwhile, Redel Domingo, Meralco first vice president and MPower head, said the collaboration is expected to continue providing Megasoft and Mega Land with “reliable energy solutions that drive growth and efficiency.”

Megasoft is the manufacturer of sanitary baby diapers, napkins and pantyliners under brands such as Sisters, Twins and Twins Lampein.

On the other hand, Mega Land is involved in the business of real estate properties, real estate services and warehousing in Bulacan, Cebu and Misamis Oriental, as well as lots in Bacolod, Davao, Iloilo and Leyte.

Earlier this year, MPower also partnered with SM Retail Inc. to supply 100 percent renewable energy to its largest establishments in Metro Manila, including the group’s primary headquarters in Pasay City.

MPower also recently renewed a retail supply agreement with ABS-CBN Corp., covering its main buildings in Quezon City.
