The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has announced that the Luzon grid is under yellow and red alerts today.
In a Twitter advisory, NGCP said Luzon grid will be under yellow alert from 8 to 9 a.m. and again from 4 to 10 p.m.
The red alert will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The available capacity of the said power grid is at 10,962 megawatts (MW) while peak demand is at 11,134 MW, NGCP said.
NGCP added details on the cause will be announced by the Department of Energy (DOE) later in the day.
On Tuesday, the power interruptions spread to other parts of Bulacan including Hagonoy, Malolos City, Plaridel, Balagtas, Meycauayan, and Marilao. Some cities in Metro Manila were also affected including Caloocan, Malabon, and Navotas.
