The Energy Regulatory Commission said over the weekend it will start the evaluation and review of the submissions of 17 generating companies for breach of the maximum allowable unplanned outage days per year.
ERC commissioner and spokesman Floresinda Digal said the agency received Friday the explanations of the gencos.
“We will evaluate their explanation,” Digal said, when asked about what the ERC would do next. He said the ERC would wrap up the report in two months.
ERC earlier sent out letters to 17 gencos covering 35 units for non-compliance on the maximum annual allowable planned outage covering the period Jan. 3 to April 25.
“We are strictly monitoring and reviewing the weekly reports being submitted by the generation companies in compliance with our directive pertaining to the reliability performance indices and equivalent outage days per year of generating units,” ERC chairperson Agnes Devanadera said in a previous statement.
