The Energy Regulatory Commission approved 16 power supply agreements and seven capital expenditure applications with a total amount of P1.146 billion and corresponding permit fees of P8.6 million.
The 16 approved PSAs, however, excluded the controversial seven PSAs of Manila Electric Co.
The ERC approved 25 decisions and show cause orders as a part of its move to ensure a zero-backlog of pending cases.
It also developed an online platform, with the assistance of the World Bank to streamline and digitize the eight work processes in the commission, including the filing of applications.
“We have achieved meaningful milestones, and we owe it to President Duterte with the continuing guidance and support from his office.
