ACEN RES, the retail electricity unit of the Ayala group, powered up the full transition to renewable energy of AEON Center, a corporate building in Filinvest City, Alabang.
The company said on Thursday that the AEON Center is the third Innoland Development Corporation building in Metro Manila to fully transition to renewable energy, following Polaris and Capella.
“We are thrilled to partner with Innoland Development Corporation in their commitment to sustainability.
Switching to renewable energy is a major step toward a cleaner, more sustainable future, and we commend Innoland for their leadership in this effort,” ACEN RES vice president for commercial operations and head of account management Sheila Mina said.
Neil Anthony Ong, vice president for Manila operations at Innoland, added: “This initiative aligns with our vision to create sustainable and environmentally responsible working spaces. We are proud to offer our tenants a healthy, sustainable work environment and hope this encourages other businesses to make the switch to renewable energy.”
The companies recently held a ceremonial unveiling of the gold “Powered by Renewable Energy” badge at AEON Center.
The badge, a proprietary seal awarded to organizations that have transitioned to 100 percent renewable energy through ACEN RES, is the first of its kind in the Philippines, recognizing companies taking proactive steps toward environmental sustainability.
