Cusi urges more merchant power plant investments

THE NATIONAL POWER CORPORATION (NPC) OPENED THE PANDAMI DIESEL POWER PLANT IN SULU IN PURSUIT OF ITS GOAL TO ACHIEVING ELECTRIFICATION IN OFF-GRID ISLANDS.

Pandami Mayor Intan S. Berto and NPC SPUG’s Western Mindanao Operations Division head Yahcob H. Darayan lead the inauguration on October 24.

Mayor Berto expressed his gratitude to NPC for the completion of the project which had been put into on and off status for years.

Pandami is a fourth class municipality in Sulu which has a potential household of 2,300. The municipality’s major source of livelihood is fishing and farming.
