Grid operator National Grid Corp. of the Philippines recently held the groundbreaking of its Tuy 500-kV Substation project in Batangas.

“The new project  will enable the connection and dispatch of new generating capacities in Batangas to the grid,” NGCP said.

The project, set for completion by the first quarter of 2020, also includes the Tuy-Dasmariñas 500-kV transmission line as one of its important components.

NGCP, meanwhile,  recently energized the Aurora-Polanco 138-kiloVolt (kV) transmission line as part of efforts to upgrade its facilities and address the recent voltage fluctuations in Northern Mindanao.
“The energization of the Aurora-Polanco 138kV Transmission line is another step towards decreasing power interruptions, mitigating the recent series of voltage fluctuations in the area, and ensuring the best quality of power that flows into homes, businesses, and industries in Northern Mindanao,” NGCP said.
