AC Energy Inc. has raised more than P64 million to help the country fight the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic. In a statement, AC Energy said the amount would fund electricity, health and food relief, medical supplies, cash donations, employee wages and emergency funds, all aimed at keeping their people and communities safe. Both AC Energy and its parent firm, Ayala Corp., took part in Project Ugnayan, where it raised more than P6 million in contribution to the initiative and another P6 million for food reserves. AC Energy allotted P13 million and mobilized local teams to donate cash, as well as medical and food supplies. AC Energy committed to cover 50 percent of the WTC We Heal as One Center’s electricity cost and donated beds and other furnishings worth approximately P24 million. AC Energy shares went down by 4 centavos or 1.71 percent to close at P2.30 each on Wednesday.
